Rocketing through the sky!
Like a ton of other people around here, I just got the SR MBP. I forgot that it had the express slot 3/4 in the side. I remember a while back, back in the powerbook days, there was this bluetooth mouse that could fit into the full sized slot which I really wanted.

Anyone know any good things to use with it? Or is it mainly for mobile internet cards and such?

My MBP already has everything in it that I need, I can't think of anything I'd put in there. Maybe if I needed it I'd get FW800 or SATA connectors for that. And like you said, the wireless cards.

Ah, this is another cool thing you can use:

It's basically an apple remote that hides inside your Express card slot. Also under $30.

I bought a 4 port USB PC Express Card for £20 ($40) seems quite good but haven't really used it much yet.

here is a link for other cards if your interested: -

The memory card reader is a really good buy, lightening fast import, a must for anyone who takes loads of photos. plus it just hides away ready for when you need it. No need to carry leads etc. I got one off ebay for £8.

I keep a Belkin SD reader in the slot. It fits flush.

Also have CF reader (Delkin). I don't keep it installed all the time, as it hangs out by 3/8" or so, and it would interfere with my bag.
