What's the best app for extending a macbook's screen onto an ipad air. Anyone tried Displaypad?

Air Display is probably the most well known. They have a new version for iOS 7, and it's compatible with Mavericks.

In the past when using it, it works, it just seemed too invasive of my MacBook Pro for my personal tastes. The drivers it makes you install are annoying - they are ALWAYS running it seems, and they install display color profiles, etc. it does seem like the newer version is lighter in that regard.

They released an update a week or so ago making rather bold claims about 64-bit and insane performance improvements using the 5s or newer iPads. I haven't used it since before that update though.

I'll give it a shot and let you know how it is

I have air display

I use airdisplay and have been totally satisfied with it for what I use it for. Don't expect crazy performance but it's great for referencing another doc, etc.
