Extending the network or move the router

I have a couple of dead spots in the house.
Two choices move the router or extend the network.

First choice is to extend it.

if you have set up an access point what equipment did you use?

I pulled a wire underneath my house, pulled it up through the wall along some piping, and out thru the wall socket, then placed my AEBS on top of a nearby closet at the center of the house, up high where there are no obstructions. I now have full signal throughout my house, vs 1-2 bars at the far end.

and as a result my network is actually faster because I have a lower ping.

yeah I have really need to reconfigure the wiring.
Need to move the desktops to wireless.

ideally replacing the desktops with a couple of lenovos with full docking stations would make my life a whole lot easier.
