I'm trying to use the Apple Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter...:
plus a 3.5 mm Y-adapter / splitter to listen to my iPhone 8 and at the same time record onto an external audio recorder. Strangely, I get good stereo sound in my (hardwire, obviously) earpods, but only one channel is recorded on the recorder. I've checked that the recorder is not at fault: it records both channels of other sources.
Any ideas what the problem is and how to fix / workaround? Thanks
