Morning All,

I hope everyone has managed to get through the evening. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has used a Samsung portable SSD product to boot from, whether that is an OS X boot option, Linux or Windows.

An example would be using something like this Samsung T3 product.

I have a Samsung 850 EVO in an enclosure that is used to clone my drive. When I boot from this drive, it seems as fast as internal SSD.

I have used Samsung SSD's (internal 2.5" products) using a simple SATA2-to-USB3 adapter cable, but I stop there when it comes to trusting enclosures that have something more in terms of adapter boards. Maybe this isn't much of a problem for SSD's or even smaller capacity mechanical drives since nothing elaborate needs to be considered in translating sectors, etc., between the actual storage medium and the interfacing computer agent.
