MP 6,1 External CD drive for 2013 Mac pro 6,1

Anyone have a recommendation for a good external "CD" drive. Looking at the superdrive, but have heard good/bad thing about it as well as 3rd party drives.

They all work in my experience, from $10 Best Buy special to the SuperDrive. You'll have to enter a 1 line terminal command before the OS recognizes it (for Macs that don't ship with an optical).

I have one from LG that I have had for a number of years, originally bought it for my 2013 MBP. Has never failed to read or write on the few occasions when I used it. I bought it because it was the cheapest at the time and the "Mac" guy at Microcenter recommended it over the Superdrive.
