Forgive all the noobie questions. I'm trying to learn as much as I can before taking the plunge into MBP world :)

I know the MBP will allow for an external display (thought DVI) to be connected. Besides the obvious of the external display mirroring the MBP's built-in display. Will the MBP (with Leopard) allow me to use the external display in extended mode? (i.e. two different desktops displaying "side by side")

Yes, and that's generally a better way to do it as you are not limited to the same resolution as your MBP's screen as you are with mirroring.

Cool! Thanks!

I saw most "tech specs" pages on the Apple site listed "supports extended desktop mode". But no such mention on the MBP specs. So I wasn't sure.

yup extended desktop works

and its the best

i am on it right now and it couldn't be more amazing

maybe if there was an easier way to have 3 or 4 screens:rolleyes:
