I currently use an I Mac 5k and have a Samsung 49” KS8000 as my main monitor.

I'm wondering if I upgraded my monitor to an 8K TV if I would be able to display 5K resolution on the 8K monitor from my iMac.

The goal is to be able to display more information on a single screen.
