All iPads External display support. Guaranteed not happening within a year?

Was hoping Apple would announce external display support for ios 15 but unfotunately they didn’t. So my question is, does this mean that there is no chance of this feature until ios 16? Or could it happen in a future ios 15.3, 15.4, etc update?

Nobody but apple know but i bet they wont introduce this until iOS 16 or even iOS 17. It is very obvious at this point that apple is not positioning iPad as full fledged computer (despite early bs ads).
 
This might not happen at all in the next couple of years, so don't take any decisions based on such expectations....

LumaFusion did it, but Apple refuses to do it themselves.
