I've got an old external 3TB disk that shows in finder as empty, but Get Info reports that there are 2.7TB in data on the disk. I'm assuming this was something in the trash when it was connected to my old Mini or something like that. In any case, any easy way in Finder (preferably) or Terminal to get the invisible data to show up as files? I suspect it's a copy of my media collection and I don't currently have another copy with me.

If the files were in the trash on the old Mac mini, they should also be in your trash when you connect the drive to your current Mac.

If you want to see hidden files, the app called OnyX have a feature to show hidden files. Just make sure to download the version of OnyX made for your OS.

Thank you.
