My brand new Macbook Pro (top spec 13" 2018) ejects my external disks when left overnight in sleep mode. How can I stop this happening?

See the screenshot - I'm not sure why the error message is shown multiple times.

It only happens when the laptop is left overnight (or I'm guessing, asleep for long periods). It's plugged in at all times. This doesn't happen when I leave the drives plugged into my older MBP.

If these drives are connected through a hub or adapter then it is a known bug with some brands. Some cables too.
