External Editors for Photos

A new app lets you define any of your image editing tools as de facto extensions to Photos. That helps make a little more sense in using Photos. Even so, I will likely stick to Lr plus its plugins.

Nice idea. But apparently it sends a TIFF or a JPEG from a RAW, no? I was hoping it would be like that old plugin for Aperture that sent the RAW instead.

You can send the original raw. However, the round-trip back into the library is not all that fluid.

Still trying to get my head around getting pics back from any editor however this creates a folder for every picture exported in user/library/containers/me.bruns.ExternalEditorsForPhotos.PhotoExtension/data/documents

Would that be the original? Could get messy?
