I'm looking for an enclosure for a Apple/Samsung SSD: SSPolaris MZ-KKW5120/0A6.

This drive was pulled from a failing 2017 21" iMac.

I mainly want to wipe the drive. If I find an enclosure, it might be useful. If I can't find one I guess I'll take a hammer to it.

TIA

Very few enclosures are available for the Apple factory blade SSDs.
The post above this one shows one, and it's expensive ($70).

This is only worth the money IF you have data on that drive that is important to recover.

For the same money, you can buy a NEW SATA (or nvme) 512gb SSD, and an enclosure to match.

The main purpose here is to wipe personal and sensitive data from what was once the boot drive for the iMac.

I have no idea what SSD or enclosure I would buy to build my own for other uses. Can you enlighten me?

This is what makes it hard to build your own in Thailand:

ORICO กล่องใส่ M2PV-C3 M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure Black (USB3.1 Gen2 10Gbps) Harddisk Enclosure (สีดำ) - 600 baht

SSD Samsung 970 EVO PLUS M.2 1 TB Solid State Drive - 5000 baht

Total is 5600 baht. And, I might mess it up. And, I'm not sure if that SSD works with that enclosure.

SAMSUNG T7 Type-C USB 3.2 Portable Solid State Drive - 6100 baht

So, for an extra 500 baht I get a drive that I know works. For me, the peace of mind is worth it.
