External Hard Drive help

I have a 80GB external hard drive ona USB. And when i connect it with my PC it works fine and i can put files on it and take files of it. However when i try to do it on my MacBP i can only take files of it and i can't put any files on it, and the reason it gives is because i don't have enough administrative rights... But about a month ago it worked absolutely fine....

Can anybody help please.

Is your drive NTFS formated OSx cant write to NTFS formated drives it hsd to be fat32 for both to read and write to the drive. But Fat32 has a limit to file size anything 4Gb or more cant be put on to a Fat32 drive.
