Hello
I've been using a WD My Passport for Mac external hard drive with my MacBook Air. It's loaded with music, but for the past couple of days when I've entered something in the search field, it's come up with a completely random set of unrelated files. I'm pretty sure the files are still somewhere on the drive, it's just that the search facility seems to be corrupted. I have to say that I might have previously unplugged the drive without ejecting first, so this is probably the problem. Any ideas how I can restore the search facility?
Many thanks.

If you're using spotlight to search, I'd like to suggest a FREE alternative that's easy to use.

"EasyFind".
Get it here:

Give it a try, it will cost you nothing to use this.

I've just tried that and it works a treat! Thank you very much indeed. I have extremely limited computer so forums like this one are a God-send. Thanks again.
