hello everyone,

I'm looking for an external HD to purchase so that i can store audio and video files on without taking up space on my internal hard drive. i want to be able to access these audio and video files by just plugging in the USB port and have the external HD sitting right beside me. What would everyone recommend to be the best one to purchase? Prefferably one that can be purchased from Futureshop, BestBuy etc. (not ordered online)

An 100GB drive would probably be large enough.

Thanks,
Matt

G-Tech has been absolutely bulletproof for me. Can't say the same for La Cie. If you think 100GB is enough, then get at least 200GB. You'll use it up fast down the line. Remember that you get more GB/$ the larger the drive. Don't forget that you'll need at least 10% free as well. The more free space on it, the faster it should work.
