I have a ton of music on my Lacie external hard drive. I can play this music with itunes and i can open the files in the folders on the drive and sample them and play them but I cannot transfer them from itunes to my ipod. I also cannot drag and drop and copy it to my internal/desktop. The drive spins and it just tries to copy but after about 2 minutes it says that the file is not read or write capable and it wont transfer. I can however pull any other files to and from the hard drive not just the music in my music folder. Does anyone know what this problem is about? Thank you

Have you tried Disk Utility functions like "repair disk" and/or "repair permissions" on that drive?
Yes, I went into disk utility and repaired permissions etc. I have the 2 backup hds daisy chain linked then 1 goes into my iMac. I tried going directly from the Lacie that has the music to the iMac and still no go. Its only with this music though and I cannot differentiate why these files and not all others on the drive...
