Can anyone recomend an external caddy for an M2 drive, i want to run dropbox off it.

I currently have a random brand one by a company called ANYOYO, its been fine for years and all of last week on my Mac Studio, this week it keeps dropping out, its usb3.1

Does USB dropout more easily than thunderbolt?

It does get hot so if im replacing it then I want something which can cope with heat better.

USB will disconnect on sleep. Use Thunderbolt to avoid that.
An alternative is to use an app like Jettison, which will dismount a drive on sleep and then remount it.
