External memory for iphone?

Does anyone know if external memory such as a hard drive could be attached to an iphone through the bottom connector?

I'm sure it will be possibly eventually, but at the moment the hackers havn't quite gotten that far.

I think it would be good to have access to a external library. Like over WiFi.
