Thats the question here, i have a macbook, but i want an external monitor. I was gonna buy a 17" widescreen one but i am unsure what connectors i would need. I then thought i could maybe pick up a 17" widescreen TV with speakers attached for about the same price. But again i have no clue what cables i would need?

So what do you guess think? (and what cables and connectors would i need for either)

Tv or monitor?

and would i be able to buy something to share this new screen with my PC? what would i need to buy to make that happen?

For the macbook you'd need a Mini-DVI to DVI cable. For a cheap LCD I'd recommend anything from the Dell ultrasharp, then you can plug the DVI into it, and the VGA from your PC into it, and switch between them with the press of a button. I did it with both my 2005fpw, and my 1800FP
