External Monitor in bootcamp windows?

well i am trying to get my external montor to work in windows under bootcamp.

In the display settings it shows that i have two monitors, but even whne i hit "extend my windows desktop onto this monitor" nothing happens..

I want it to do this. how do i fix it? any ideas?
