Hi there,
I am in the process of buying an 27-inch iMac with the Radeon Pro 575 GPU to replace my 2012 rMBP + Thunderbolt Display + 1080p BenQ GW2470 (HDMI) + iPad w/ duet display.
What I couldn't understand is if it is possible to hook up the 1080p external monitor to the iMac without using too many adapters or run into troubles.
So, my question would be: is it possible to output a video signal from a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port to an HDMI external monitor? It seems unlikely to me (I haven't never seen cables with such configuration) but you guys on here know better for sure.
Another question, if I may... Since I am planning to use Windows 10 with Bootcamp on this machine as I do with my current setup: what is your experience with Windows running at this extremely high resolution? Does it scale/behave well? Is it possible to take advantage of the full color gamut?
Thank you very much!
