I have my ATV in my bedroom. It's connected to a 22" monitor and a $25 2.1 speaker system. The setup works fine, but what I'm trying to do is find a way to remotely control the volume. It sucks to stand there while a movie/show starts and adjust the volume, then have to get out of bed to adjust the volume again during a loud scene or for a different program. I guess my Google search terms aren't correct, because I figure there has to be a way to plug the 3.5mm speakers into a device that adjusts the volume by remote control.

Any suggestions?

I've never had a problem. What kind of 'show' are you watching?

It's not necessarily the program (be it a tv show or movie or MLB) per se, it's having the ability the adjust the volume on the speaker system without actually going across the room to the speaker to manually adjust.

I've got a small 'book shelf stereo' that does the volume, among other things, for the bedroom. Works great, sounds great.
