External speakers stop working with headset

Does anyone know how to fix this. I like to leave my headset plugged in but dont always have them in my ear. The external speakers would work with the old os but cant figure out how to have them work now.

That was probably a bug. The external speaker should not work at all if there are headphones plugged in.

Also not to be too picky but you mean internal speakers. Headphone ARE external.
