Hello,

I connected my 970 evo plus 1tb with m.2 enclosure with usb c on my mac mini m1 but im only getting 500-600 MB/s

I was expecting 1000MB/s

The drive format is exfat. Any suggestions?

There's a big thread on this issue USB SuperSpeed 10 devices only connecting as USB SuperSpeed 5. You can look through it to see if there is a solution. Just glancing it appears to be using a USB 4.0 NVMe enclosure (at least some work) or a Thunderbolt 3 enclosure.

Amorphus Disk Mark gives 650 MB/s which is strange..
System Information on the external nvme ssd shows:

Speed: Up to 10 Gb/s

Theoretically i should have close to 1000MB/s correct?

Do i need a thunderbolt adapter maybe?
