iPod External Storage For iPod Hack

I am stuck between the touch and the classic. I really need lots of storage but i really want all the features of the touch. I was wondering if there was some hack that someone made that allows you to use a small external portable drive, and just keep it attached to the back of your ipod or something.

Any thought would be appreciated!
