I'm trying to get an imac connected via dialup. Is the Apple usb modem still compatible with the latest imacs? Apple doesn't even sell them anymore, so where could I even get one? Or does anyone have a different modem they can recommend? Thanks

I'm in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. There's a computer shop here that sells the following 2 USB modems:

StarTech External USB Modem

and

USRobotics 5637 USB Modem

Don't know about the StarTech one, but according to USRobotics,

USR 5637 Product Page

it should work fine on OS X.

I might pick one up and try it out. I still use my old G4/867 for the odd fax.

Thanks for the quick reply. I wonder why the big price difference?

I've got an Apple USB fax modem in basically new condition that I have no use for. PM me if you want to make a modest but fair offer.
