This may relate to the "pin-out" problem I discussed in another thread related to video issues.

Mac hardware uses a DVI out. The DVI to VGA converter (which comes with a Mac Mini for instance) doesn't work unless one of the pins is pulled on the VGA connector. This is because Windows reads all of those pins, whereas Mac ignores one.

There may be a similar problem with DVI to S-video. I haven't experimented with that yet so I really don't know.

Any solution? Direct cable from iMac(DVI) to TV(SVIDEO) without coverter?

I have original Mac coverter from DVI to SVIDEO/VIDEO, little white box.

I really don't know. I found that I didn't that that kind of conversion, in the end, so didn't experiment any further; but I do know that the direct (Apple) DVI to S-Video "white box" converter did NOT work with Boot Capm v1.1.1.

Shame? I dunno, for a Beta product that you're using for free, I think they're doing pretty good. I will say that I think the trackpad drivers failing every time you hibernate is a huge pain and pretty lame. Come on, do they not test these things?
