I have a 20" Apple Aluminum Display laying around now from my old PC, as I just got an Intel iMac. Should I keep it and use as secondary display? (iTunes/iChat/Mail)

Thoughts?

Ignore the money part. Just whether or not it really makes anything that much easier, is my question.

If you have another monitor, hook that shiz right up there. Two monitors are better than one. Very useful to leave iTunes open on the other screen and forget about it until you need to switch a song or something.

20" However would also give you room for your ichat buddy list while leaving windows on your main screen in you prefer. That'd be shiztastic.

imacs only mirror on second displays natively which sucks so you are going to need to do a firmware hack to get two independent displays.

That is true of the G5's, but not the intel's...
