I'm a designer and sometimes get inspired by a font used in an app. Would love to know a way to extract the font used in an app. Can't find the font files in the app package by using 'Show Package Contents'. At least it would be fine to know the name of the font so that I can purchase it in case of commercial use. Thanks and love in advance.

"Purchase it in case of commercial use": If an app contains a font, then it is 99% safe to say that you don't have a license to use that font at all, whether commercial or non-commercial. There are plenty of sites selling fonts, and you can look at all their fonts.

Yes, I'm ready to purchase it. But even without knowing the name of the font, How? How to know the font details at least?

Or, of course, contact the developers of the app and ask them where they got their font from. You can always try flattery, "Hey! I just love the look of your app! That text you use <wherever it appears> looks great - can you tell me what font it uses?".

Of course, they may be unresponsive or not be willing to tell you, but I'd suggest that's the most sensible first step before you turn detective.

Do bear in mind that a font that looks great on screen doesn't necessarily look great in print and vice versa.

Hope that's of some help.
