So once again this is a complex problem. When i discharge my MBP any amount it, rather that be to 90% or 10% it says that it needs like 1:40 to charge. After that time lapses it stops charging or the charge time will lengthen over the time of the charge to like 4-6 hours. if you stop charging it before the 4-6 hrs is up it says it has a full charge but it doesnt.
Before this issue i had two batteries that would not hold charge. Apple care sent me a new battery for the long charge issue. This did not fix it. When i called apple they directed me to a person that works on the computers. He told me that if the new battery didnt work that I could take it to the apple store and get a new computer because they are out of my macbook pro. so i did just that i showed the apple store the issue they say they need to send it in. I said what about in the notes your too exchange it. They say they cant i go out to my car call apple care again another tech says yes they need to exchange it. he said he would call the store to tell them to exchange it then he hangs up on me. so I call apple care again and they say i need to send it in.
This is some of the worst service i have seen out of any company. I am on my 4th batter since Feb. 07. Does anyone have this issue? what has apple done for you or to you?
I know that the battery update to 1.3 did not cause it nor is it any software issue. (we booted from a firewire drive, same issue) Could it be the cmos on the motherboard?
