My MCB Pro 16 starts acting weird minutes after booting. All the icons start dancing and multiple files start opening. Cannot work on the Mac. Touch Bar starts flashing icons etc. Not sure how to explain. Please see three attached. videos
Support calls it ghosting. Have tried smc and nvram reset. Tried recovery plus reloading OS. No malware detected. Is this a hardware issue?
Need a solution please

Wasn’t clear from your post if you did an erase and install or just reapply OS from Recovery. I would think if it were a hardware issue it would affect the entire screen.

Does the issue happen if you boot into Safe Mode?

Did not erase. Just reapplied the OS to preserve data. In safe mode also the issue recurred.

Do you think that a complete erase and reinstall should work?

One thing you can try is create a new partition (new Container) on your internal drive and clean install Catalina to the new partition. Restart to the new partition, don’t install any third party software. See if a fresh install will resolve the issue. When you are done, restart back to your other partition and remove the new partition.
