iPhone X Face ID 1.5? iPhone Xs

Apple didn't say it was the 2nd generation but that it was faster on the iPhone Xs? Is there anything on the web demonstrating how much faster it is compared to the iPhone X?

Also can it do Face ID in landscape mode?

If i'm not mistaken, or not heard right, they did not talk about face id in landscape mode, at all!

I'm under the impression that the True Depth module on the Xs/Max and Xr is the same module as on the iPhone X, the difference is just with the A12 which will process the information from the True Depth module a little bit faster. We'll have to wait until reviewers have phones in their hands before we see how much of a difference it makes... I suspect not much.

Seems like they want to reserve landscape capabilities for their 2023 models. In the meantime, we’ll continue to see 5% improvements year to year.
