Face ID Issue? IOS 18.1 or 2 issue?

I'm having major problems unlocking 16 Pro Max first in 18.2 and now after upgrading today to latest 18.2 release, still same issue. Face ID recognizes me but phone won't unlock, screen just goes gray and kinda freezes then eventually i can enter my passcode to unlock after pressing around and different buttons. It's not everytime but it's at least half.. anyone else have this issue and know how to fix?

I re-did my face scan, same issue.

i am also having face id issues; sometimes it doesn’t recognize or activate it…. eps if i switch to the camera

My iPadPro lost FaceID with iOS18.2.1 recently and it’s annoying to have to continue to enter the passcode, First World problems.
