Hi Guys !

I have the 2018 iPad Pro 11” and I have aFace Id Set up for it, what I have noticed is a lot of times even despite being in adequate light conditions, and also siting and looking at the iPad Screen from a Close Distance the Face Id Fails, It does not unlock the device for me. And then I have to put the Passcode to Unlock the device.

Why could this be happening ? is there a Possibility that while setting up my Face Id I did not do it properly ? Without resetting the device again which I do not want to do, is there a way to only set up the Face Id again ?

Yes. You are probably better setting it up again. By the way, lighting has nothing to do with FaceID, as it provides its own illumination.

Yes, it's very easy to redo the initial Face ID setup from the settings app. That is definitely not normal. I have a 2018 11" IPP. I unlock it all the time from my lap, desk, or a counter and Face ID almost never fails.

So guys can I delete my earlier Face Id Set Up and then set the Face Id again ? is this the Path in settings that I need to go to ? Settings > Face ID & Passcode ?

I do not see it actually ?
