facebook and ios5?

Hi guys,

I finally got my first iPhone (iPhone 4, 8gb)
One of the first apps i downloaded was facebook, and heres the thing.
Whenever I'm chatting with someone, i usually have other apps open, so the facebook app will be in the background. If someone posts on my wall, i get the notification, but if someone sends me a chat messages, i dont get a notification. Any ideas? I already tried re installing, so all help is much appreciated

There's another app from Facebook called Facebook Messenger.

Hm, does that support notifications? Cos im looking to have all of this in one app to make it easier

It does support push notifications. And for a Facebook app works surprisingly well. It seems that Facebook is trying to nudge people towards Messenger for all Facebook messaging.

Facebook notifications on the iPhone app suck. It's always been this way. I wonder if we'll ever get all our notifications

Facebook have basically made you need 2 apps now. The messenger app works really well though, download and chat with that one.
