Hi,

I have been experiencing an annoying issue with the Facebook and Messenger app, both iOS and the apps are the latest versions: when switching connections from wifi to 4G the app says restoring connection then loads again and won't stop loading. The circle next to the wifi reception signal keeps turning but all pages are loaded.
The only thing that works is closing the app and restarting it.
I have called Apple support, they adviced deinstalling and reinstalling the app, which I did but the issue remains.
I disabled the background refresh app-function as well.
Anyone familiar with this?

This happens when you switch connection while you are within one of those apps, or even just when the connection changes at some point and then later you go into one of those apps and see what you are describing?

The latter, when I'm connected to wifi indoors and then move to a location with only 4G or a different access point, the app says it's trying to restore the lost connection. When it picks up the signal again the load circle next to the wifi or 4G signal indicator starts and keeps turning although all pages are loaded. This does not happen in other apps.

I get restoring connection every time I open the app. I HATE the FB app. I'm honestly trying to decide whether or not the family/friends I communicate with on FB are worth having to deal with the app. Horrid, resource sucking, battery consuming beastly thing of a poor excuse of an app.

You can always use it through the browser.
