Facebook App.. Next Update?

Hi All, I remember hearing that the next update after the recent bug fix update would be push notifications... Now that the original delevoper has left. I wonder how long this will take.

Who knows, now. I was hoping he'd at least release the push update before throwing his hissy fit, but I guess not.

Im sure Facebook would have hired another developer to continue the development of the app. Too many people now use it for them to forget about it. In relation to when push is getting released who knows? It will be a massive test for the Apple servers, as the amount of notifications per day must be huge.

I just hope it gets bug fixes when it comes out, it's still got it's problems.

Yeah, I think the most recent update was awesome, Adding the Like button and the interface.

I think like you say a few bugs to be fixed and then push notifications or running the app when its closed would be awesome!

Most of the issues people see in 3.x are server related. My guess is Facebook has several developers working on the server portion of the push notifications for 3.1. I doubt Hewitt was working on that part anyways (only the client interface to it).
