Facebook App problem: Never showing more than 2 notifications when opening app

Hi

I just wanted to hear if anybody else has the same issue as I do with the Facebook App.

Before the newest update with push, whenever I would open the app it would never show more that two unread notifications even if I had something like 5 or 20 notifications I hadn't checked yet.

The problem is not solved for me with the new update. Now the App is just able to show more that "2" in the badge... That is until I actually open the app and then its the same as before.


Anyone having the same problem? Anyone know a fix to this?

The problem is the same on both my 3Gs and my girlfriends 3G

PS: Searched google and macrumors forums before posting and couldn't find anything, so sorry if this is a doublepost by any means.

Yes indeed. I have no idea if it's fixable on our end but I doubt it.

I'm having the exact same issue. Its been going on for a long time for me.
When Facebook 3.0 first came out it would show the number of notifications in the red badge correctly and it was nice. Ever since some "bugfix release" shortly thereafter it would only show 2, no matter what and even with the 3.1 release. Now with the latest 3.1.2 Facebook app coming out today, we'll see if they fix it...
I have an original iPhone (2g). I'm a little relieved to hear that you are having the same issue with the 3Gs.

Yeah, same thing for me regarding the versions and functionality.

My notification badges are mental. I can close the app having read all notifications, and the badge may show something like 72. Go back in, check notifications and close app, may be down to 13. Repeat and badge has gone. Sometimes works fine though.
