Facebook app update

That's odd, considering they released an update for Messenger that updates it for the iPhone 6/6+ screens.
EDIT: In fact, all this update does is fix the graphical bugs caused by having the app zoom in (for example the camera roll cutting off the third row) rather than making use of the new screen size.
Either they have a redesign planned or they're coming up with ways to use that extra space.
No idea, though I noticed FB messenger was updated for optimization. Usually Facebook is quicker than that, but it seems like we must be patient.
Different teams working on different apps most likely. Less work to change something like that in a standalone messenger app compared to a larger more complex full FB app. The phones have only been out for a week or so, so it's not really that much time to have it all updated and tested and released, especially since they've already been working on the current release and getting it ready to be publicly available.
I hope they will update the app to allow for landscape mode. I really dislike having to stay in portrait.
