i have a 1st gen 8gb iphone 2.0....been using the facebook app since 7/11/08...other than crashing a few times, no issues...but recently 1 strange thing....a friend from work added me as a friend, i accepted...he shows up on my friends list on facebook.com on my mac, however doesnt show up on my friends list on the facebook app on the iphone????

That is an issue that has been effecting a lot of people, it takes a long time for somebody to show up on your iPhone app's friend list. I also wish that there was a way to respond to requests and get notifications in the app itself.

This app was rushed for the AppStore opening by the Facebook developers. They're promising a lot more improvements, including location features in their later release.

I find that logging out then relogging will result in a force refresh of friend lists which you just added. Hope this helps, hope they fix it soon though.
