facebook issues/hoax?

hey, did anybody get an email from facebook saying that their email preferences were lost? i checked my fb and sure enough, all my email settings were changed and my privacy options were messed with as well...

i'm pretty sure nobody can guess, or has, my password but i changed it again just to be sure.

all of my email notifications were set to "off" randomly, it happened to me like a month ago when i noticed i didn't get emails anymore from facebook so i looked and sure enough it was changed.

yeah it appears legit. apparently facebook did really lose all our settings!

i thought it was a hoax/scam at first too

Yeah, happened here as well. I tried using Facebook Mobile and was giving a instructions on how to activate my mobile phone. I thought it seemed odd, so I checked my email and saw that.

Oddly enough, though, I never reset my preferences, they returned within a day or so (didn't keep track of timeframe of event). Now its working fine for me, and I didn't have to alter anything.

Aye, it seems as if it were a server malfunction or some database problem. Hopefully that was the extent of the issue.

I had the exact same experience where about a month ago I stopped getting all emails from them. Glad it got resolved.

I just received a message from Facebook yesterday telling me that all my email notifications were lost and had been reset. All the notifications were turned on from all off, and I received like 15 Facebook notifications that day from the notifications bring reset. I turned them allllll off though.
