I know that not everyone here is a fan of Facebook but I was wondering if anyone has come up with or knows of some tweak for the lack of sound when Facebook sends a push notification?? I know I can set up notifications via email but I would rather just do it all through the app.

iPhone Facebook Notification Sound Tweak?

Open Cydia, look for and install PushTone. Once you have PushTone installed you can assign a tone to Facebook. If you want to take it one step farther and use the actual alert that the FB app uses, then open iFile and go to the FB app. Inside there you will find a wav file called chord.wav. Use Bridge to import/convert that file as a ringtone (or whatever way you want to do this, but it has to be converted to a ringtone). Once you have it converted as a ringtone and installed you can tell PushTone to use "Chord" for it's alert sound and voila! You have the FB sound notification back.
I have the latest FB version, so I don't know if it's working or not without PushTone. I still have PushTone installed and that IS working so I'm going to leave it alone.
I have the newest version of both Facebook and Push Tone and it's working great!! Nice to have sound from the Facebook app again after 6 months!
Good to hear. Yeah, I jumped on this as a way to fix this once I saw PushTone in Cydia. I have no idea why FB and Apple can't fix this, but I had sound for maybe one day or so with the FB app and it's been silent until now. If I was not already jailbreaking specifically for f.lux, I would JB just to get Facebook sound working again.
