The latest update is really awful with notifications. I've missed so many that I had to update my web FB notifications to receive the important ones via email. Anyone else having this issue?
 
Welcome to the club!! Something i would really like worked out is the notifications on this iDevice. As it sucks big time.

FB alone for the iphone is horrible with notification, i get some sometimes. While at other times i dont..

Same here. However, my notifications have always been hit or miss w/ the Facebook app, regardless of which version of the app I'm using.

Thanks. Like the club but not the notification deficiencies. This alone is the only regrets coming from a blackberry. At least I can set the FB notifications for email delivery. Not happy with that but at least it works.

Come on Apple!! You can do better.
 
I did find tho since i installed Notified Pro it seems to be picking up on the notifications quite well.. I just have the pop up removed.

But it seems to work.
 
My notifications kinda blow too. Not really a big deal though cause I'm on my computer all hours of the day.
 
facebook notifications suck. its the only app that i either get them or i dont.. Skype, beejive, boxcar.. i get notifications within seconds of it being sent..
 
I have a problem with the facebook app as a whole. I don't get everyone's update when I'm in my news feed. My wife will ask me about something that someone else said on FB, and it will not have shown on mine at all.

I've missed some pretty big news (pregnancies, engagements) because of that. Pretty frustrating.

Hard to believe we need another app to get notifications already built in.

Well it has been. Question is does anyone know the best settings for the notifications on the FB website which doesn't duplicate the FB app notifications (that should be working!!)

what do you mean by this? Change notification from the site to the APP im not following..
 
For me it hasn't been so much as not getting them, but rather when I do get them, sometimes they don't go away for a while.
 
Yeah it sucks now.
It used to be that I'd get the notification on my phone even before they'd show up on my computer! now i'm lucky to get 1 notification out of 20.

This is the exact same problem I'm having. Ever since the previous update notifications have been extremely sporadic where as before they were constant and instantaneous. It's extremely annoying, especially considering I rely on the Facebook app more than the website itself.
 
Notifications about status comments, photo comments are very iffy...

However the worst notifications are the Friend Request notifications...just never get them...

I was wondering if I should turn off all email notifications on the FB website. I sure hope another update is coming cause 3.2.2 is terrible.

I dont think notifications on the site have anything to do with the APP itself..

Its just the APP sucks terrible
