Facebook Notifications

Anyone know why Facebook notifications aren't working? They will not show up in my notification center, despite being set to. I've tried turning the notifications on and off, deleting and reinstalling Facebook, powering the device on and off, and nothing has worked. Any ideas?

Facebook's app, even the new one, is pretty unreliable in my experience.

yeah mine rarely work as well. and now that i think of it, they worked maybe twice on the day i got the 4s and thats about it.

New facebook app is great, except for the fact that every time I upload a pic it screws it up with other pictures from my mobile uploads and I cant see anyones comments on the pic. I get a notification but the comments do not show up on the pic that they were commented on

The consensus is that the app just sucks and this is why my notifications don't work?

Seems many of the non core iOS5 notifications do not work properly. I had the NFL app set up to notify me when my team scored and the score at the end of each quarter. Never once got a notification.

Yeah, now that you say that, my ESPN app doesn't work either. Nor is my Weather Channel app pushing notifications.

WTF..

All of mine seem to be working well.

I have gotten all of the Facebook and Sportacular game updates I have set.

I wonder why it's so hit and miss with everyone.

It's why i prefer google+, it's never failed to notify me of new messages... Just a shame so many people complain about Facebook and yet still stay with them!

I think some of the apps not working properly may be because the developers did not update their apps with iOS5. I don't recall that the NFL app being updated after iOS 5 was installed.

FB Push notifications stopped working iPhone4s

Wife not pleased... Facebook push notifications worked a total of twice on Friday (14Oct - iPhone4s arrived) and not since.

Yeah, but I'm almost positive FB released an update

I've recently switched to a 3rd party app named Glow for fB because Facebook notifications on Mountain Lion didn't work at all on my machine… Glow is totally reliable and places a nice 'f' in the menu bar, too.
