Facebook on iMessages

Am i missing something or there is no way to add Facebook to iMessages? (Besides using Jabber)

Unfortunately the Facebook integration in the 10.8.2 update does not include Facebook Chat, the integration is just for syncing contacts and events posting Status updates, photos and sharing websites etc.

i was just going to make a thread about this i think it'd be a great idea instead of having to use the slow website for chat. going to send a feature request to apple

Search google for Facebook chat ichat and you will get a link from Facebook telling you how to set it up through jabber. It even works on any other IM client that supports jabber. Ive been using it for 3 years now.
