Facebook is inaccessible for many users across Europe and North America today. The outage seems to have begun around 9:00 AM PT. You may see a popup on your Mac asking for your Facebook login and password. If you enter it, your Mac will report "unable to verify account name or password." If you point your browser at Facebook, it will display a blank page. Facebook hasn't commented on the outage as yet, but it is apparently widespread.
