Facebook videos now in HTML5

Good to know and thanks. Now if they would just fix the dang iPhone app to play videos we will be all set.
 
I wish they'd also fix the Facebook chat. I'm still holding out hope they'll make a Facebook App, its so much easier just tapping the icon and being able to go right to my page without having to open Safari and type in the URL, etc....

Well, we still can't UPLOAD photos or videos from the Safari app. So either Apple needs to fix this (should be easy to do) or Facebook needs to develop an iPad app. Right now, I use the iphone version on my ipad only to upload photos to my profile.

Go to your facebook page via safari and click the little + on the top left. Add the page to your home screen AND IT WILL INCLUDE THE EXACT ICON as the iPhone. I have facebook on my dock. I did the same thing with the macrumors site, it makes a nice little red apple icon.

If facebook fixes the chat feature then an app would truly be a waste of time for them now that they are using HTML5.

I didn't realize we couldn't upload pics or vids FROM the iPad.

Sadly overlooked by Apple...again (or steve decided it wasn't necessary for some reason):mad:

Hopefully the rumors about facebook integration in Os 4.0 will solve this problem.

Great find! I personally enjoy the safari version of Facebook but I'm sure they can/will do something amazing with an actual app version. Especially with all the new tools for them to use!

I'm guessing we won't see a Facebook app for the iPad until 4.0 hopefully I'm wrong tho.

I'm pretty sure I read that he is working on the Facebook iPad App since the limitations were different. Why would he be excited about what he can do with the iPad if he wasn't working on the App?

I'd rather be able to chat while I am on my Facebook page rather than have to exit Safari and load a separate app. I don't necessarily just get on Facebook just to chat but I like being able to chat with online friends while I am updating or looking at my friends status updates.
