Anyone else seen the Facebook viruses about the "IQ tests" and "Embarrassing videos" yet? I have over 260 friends and am a teen, so a lot of my friends are still in that gullible stage. I've gone from one friend having it for 2 days, to 2 friends just now getting it less than an hour ago, along with the other one still having. I'm just saying, if any of you have seen it, please tell me some crazy ones and how you're feeling about this topic. I myself have closed my wall posts to only me and keep my IM off for long periods of time just to be safe. Thank god for Firefox saving me. :D

To any forum moderators, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong area, I'm very new, please don't ban me for it.

Huh? You can't get a virus from Facebook, especially if you're using a Mac.

Unfortunately, the OP's computer is a Windows Vista PC, according to the signature. : ( , indeed.

To lgtw: I suggest you make sure you've updated your antivirus/antimalware software, then reboot into safe mode and do a complete scan. This should isolate and hopefully remove any malware that may have infected your PC from those fake IQ tests, which have been known to drop adware and malware onto Windows PCs.

Insofar as Facebook: You can reopen your Wall afterward. Just be careful about what you click on from this point forward. If an offer looks too good to be true, it probably is. And you can look on YouTube for embarrassing videos, if you so desire.

I was just informing. Sorry if I gave you the wrong feeling about this. I'm doing fine right now, I haven't clicked on the link and Firefox blocked me from going there. I disabled my wall so I wouldn't get spammed by other friends who would potentially do that.

And there's only a few viruses for Mac, I wouldn't click on them even if I was on a Mac, just to be safe. And the Facebook virus is from an external link that people click on from Facebook while still logged in that takes over their account.
