Facebook won't connect to the server?

Hey everyone,
So ive read many many solutions of fixing this issue of facebook not connecting to the server.. but none have worked! Ive tried opening facebook in google chrome, safari, firefox and it still doesn't work. I emptied cache,cookies, installed updates, removed and re-installed chrome,firefox,safari and still nothing worked. All other websites work on my macbook pro. I have noticed this problem since my brother changed the wireless internet password at home. The router is a linksys. Can someone help me out?

Actually saw this on the morning news,(yeah) Facebook was doing some site maintenance or something of the sort and I guess and a lot of people can't connect.

If all other sites are working fine then just wait a bit and try again. I tried first thing this morning and I couldn't connect, 15mins ago and I could.

Oh really? but this has been happening to me for over 2 weeks.. do u think its a virus or something? iits frustrating!
